1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
The change lies within. We each possess a unique solution to a specific problem in this world. Being the change requires soul searching and overcoming any fear that would hinder us from being our most authentic self. Once we truly discover our purpose and are confident in the qualities that set us apart, then we can use our unique gifts, talents, and experiences to make an impact, influence, and difference in this world.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
My husband is a humble leader. He’s my greatest rock and supporter. He is a visionary, innovator, creative, and builder. Everything he touches grows and prospers. He is a loving husband, amazing father, and all-around family man. My husband is a big reason why I am the woman I am today. He is my best friend.
3.What do you love to cook and why?
Playing hide and seek in Port-au-Prince without a care in the world. It is there that I experienced the purest of joy, fun, laughter, and excitement. My most memorable childhood memories have always been in Haiti. I am so amazed at how children can have so much joy, even amid chaos and poverty. The best things in life are truly free.
4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
In high school I was the cheerleader who always openly shared with others about my faith in God. People would describe me as Miss Independent because I had my own business and got my driver’s license on my 16th birthday. I had my entire life, future marriage, and kids planned out in my head. Thankfully, since then, I have learned to be patient with myself and live in the moment.
5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
My husband is an aspiring film director and producer. So, if money didn’t matter, I would buy him his own film studio with the best state of the art equipment, cameras, and lights. Then I would pay the production crew and actors to help bring his vision to life! To top it all off, I would buy him a lifetime supply of sushi of many different kinds. He absolutely loves sushi!
