1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My family lives in Blaine, MN, 40 minutes North of the Twin Cities. Blaine is known for its avid sports scene and parks and recreation. Its home to the National Sports Center bringing in sports tournaments from all over the USA. Blaine is also known for its winter sports like snowmobiling, ice skating, ice hockey, skiing, and ice fishing. Blaine has 66 parks and hundreds of miles of trails including the Blaine Wetland Sanctuary, 500 acres of protected open space with boardwalks and wildlife.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I love my power suits and stilettos. One is masculine and powerful for the days I need to slay a big corporate meeting or command the stage; the other is feminine and beautiful for a night out with girlfriends or my hubby. My personality is a balance of both, so the juxtaposition fits me!

3.What do you love to cook and why?
I lived in NYC for nearly 20 years, most of my adult life, and had the opportunity to experience many different types of cuisine and fabulous authentic restaurants. I love to try to recreate my favorite meals from those experiences. I love to make penne alla vodka with a rich cream sauce and lots of prosciutto. I also love making rare steak au poivre with a brandy cream peppercorn sauce. Chef’s kiss!

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I love hot bubble baths and reading. We have a big soaking tub that I don’t use very often so it feels like a bit of luxury and indulgence in my own home! I love doing face masks, lighting a candle and creating a spa experience at home. Soaking in the tub and reading a book to relax would be an amazing way to unwind from my busy days.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
In college, I had a union summer job at an oil refinery. I had to suit up every day in my full body fire-retardant suit, steel-toe boots, safety glasses and hard hat. We had to use fire hoses to clean big fans and mow the empty lots surrounding the factory. It was hot, smelly, and dirty! But I made $13 an hour which was a lot of money for a college kid at that time!
